How It Works

How to Setup a Business in SPC Freezone

01

Choose Your Activity

Choose from more than 1,500 SPC approved freezone activities in the fields of trading, publishing, media, e-commerce and professional services. It is important to check this selection to ensure that it aligns with your company’s operations. This will help you determine what your company can legally do and will help determine your License category. SPC enables related activities to be grouped together under one Licence.

02

Choose Your Business Structure and Licence

Complete the application electronically and upload the required documents through SPC’s secure customer portal. These are normally copies of all shareholders, directors & managers’ passports, proof of address & Emirates ID/ copy of visa for existing residents. Additionally, corporate shareholders will have to submit a corporate resolution and articles of incorporation.

03

Receive Approval and Your Licence

Once documents are verified, SPC issues your trade Licence along with the Certificate of Formation, MOA, Share Certificate, and lease agreement. Approval and licensure can take place within 24 hours of the application, and the rest of SPC company formation can take 5-10 working days. An additional 1-2 weeks is added for visa processing (if required).
